U.S Year in Review (Part 2)
Labels: US Politics
roGER's seldom read or updated blog on stuff that interests me. You'll find stuff here on films, books, cars, tennis, a bit of football and, because I'm English, the weather. There's also some politics and pro-Palestinian stuff as well.

I actually feel sorry for whoever writes this cartoon. He thinks the world revolves around a dozen or so right-wingers. It doesn't. There were lots of things that he could have reviewed in 2005. He chose to focus on a few people whom most Americans have never heard of.
With reference to the Ann Coulter quotes, it does help to read what she really said:

She called Democrats cowards for not voting to withdraw troops, while at the same time making statements that lend encouragement to the enemy. That's not some flight of fancy on her part, she proves that North Vietnam did draw solace from the statements of Ramsey Clarke etc. That's tolerable if you're actually going to vote to take the troops out of harm's way. But if you aren't, then you are encouraging more attacks on them, without withdrawing them.
Hence she says:
"but when called to vote on withdrawing troops, [Democrats] disavow their own public statements. These people are not only traitors, they are gutless traitors"
Thought you ought to know the truth.
